The Teal Cow

Hi again. It's been a busy week here, and it started with a cow.

On Tuesday, a black-and-white cow walked into the game teal. The chickens came out striped. It wasn't a style choice. A new pack of creatures was being read the wrong way, and seventeen of the twenty-one critters could come out with their skin smeared into stripes. We fixed it, and the cow went back to being black and white (we'll admit she looked good).

New fire

In Castle Arena, Castle Survivors and Custom Hero Survival, arrows, spells and missiles now fly with the Hovl Studio projectiles. In practice, each shot leaves a trail that lights up, and each impact bursts on the ground. Custom Hero Survival's area spells rain down ice, fire and stars.

Every hit is easier to read, too. Instead of flashing white, the troop that got hit lights up a warm outline and shrinks a little, like someone who just took a punch. And the meteor shower from one Castle Survivors weapon, which used to turn the whole screen white, doesn't do that anymore.

Still missing the secret sauce? Less than before.

Named, but no date

Custom Hero Survival got a new mode, Evolution. You start small, eat whatever you find and keep changing shape. Where it ends, we'll tell you later.

And Castle Survivors' castle got commanders and a War Council. What for? That's for later too.
