Castle Arena is a strategy game about building, not micromanaging. You never give orders to a soldier. Instead you raise buildings in your territory, and each one trains troops on its own, on its own rhythm. They march down the lanes around the woods in the middle of the field and attack whatever they meet. Your job is to decide what to build, when to build it and where to spend your gold.
How a match goes
- Each side has a castle and a worker, the builder. The worker walks only inside your territory, can't be attacked, raises your buildings and carries your items.
- Every building trains one kind of troop. Mix them well: every attack type is strong against some armors and weak against others.
- Gold comes in every few seconds as income. The more you invest in troop buildings, the more you earn. Idle gold earns nothing.
- When a building can be upgraded, a golden arrow appears over it. Upgrades swap its troop for a stronger one.
- Once per match you can call the Rescue, which wipes out every enemy troop in a large area. Timing is everything.
- Destroy the enemy castle to win. If the time limit comes first, the side with more Rescues saved wins; if that's a tie, the higher income wins.
