What kind of game is Castle Arena?

A tug-of-war strategy game. You build in your territory, your buildings train troops on their own, and the troops march and fight without orders. Read more on The Game.

Do I control the troops?

No. You decide what to build, when to upgrade, how to spend your gold and when to call the Rescue. The troops do the fighting.

How do I win?

Destroy the enemy castle. If the time limit comes first, the side with more Rescues saved wins; if that's a tie, the higher income wins.

When does it come out, and where?

Castle Arena is coming to Steam. The store page is not open yet, and we have no release date to announce. News will be posted here and on Steam.

Can I play alone?

Yes. You can play against the AI, go through the training, play a knockout tournament against the AIs, or watch AI against AI to learn the factions.

Is there multiplayer?

Yes, through Steam: from 1v1 duels to team battles up to 4v4, with up to eight players in a room, lobbies, invites, rematch, reconnection and spectators. Empty seats go to the AI, and if someone drops the AI plays for them until they return.

Which languages does it support?

The game speaks English, Portuguese, Spanish, German, French, Russian and Simplified Chinese, and follows your Steam language unless you pick one in Options. This site is in English and Portuguese.

Can I play with a controller?

Yes. The game has full controller support, including the Steam Deck.

What accessibility options are there?

Colorblind-safe team palettes, captions for sounds, options to soften or turn off lightning flashes and to reduce weather effects, and a reduced-motion option.

Do I need an account on this site?

No. This site has no accounts or logins. You will play through Steam.
